FLEET OPERATIONS · TANZANIA & EAST AFRICA

Know what is moving.
Know what needs action.

Loketi is building one operational system for vehicles, trips, and route exceptions—connected to the hardware in the field and designed for the realities of East African transport.

Start with the fleet and hardware you already have.

THE CURRENT STACK

The tracker has the location. The rest is somewhere else.

A route update in WhatsApp. A service date in a spreadsheet. An incident explained on a call. A month-end report rebuilt by hand. Each tool holds one part of the operation. Nobody sees the whole decision in time.

Tracker app
location only
Disconnected from trip cargo, schedule, and operator assignments
WhatsApp
updates & evidence
Critical incident photos and notes lost across sprawling group chats
Calls
urgent exceptions
Verbal reports leave zero audit trail or durable operational record
Spreadsheets
maintenance & reports
Reconstructed manually days or weeks after the expense occurred
Loketi
operational state & next action
Consolidated vehicle telemetry, route intelligence, driver context, and exception ownership in one dependable system.

HOW IT WORKS

From road signal to operator action.

The four stages of converting raw telematics pings into verified operational decisions.

Explore full rollout process
STAGE 01In pilot

Connect

Connect the vehicle and the field hardware that supplies its operating signal. Confirm device health, identity, and vehicle assignment.

Supported telematics units and CAN sensors in active pilot testing.

STAGE 02In pilot

See

Bring vehicle, trip, driver, and route context into one operating view. Know what is current and what is stale.

Live dispatch overview, trip timeline, and connectivity freshness indicators.

STAGE 03In development

Act

Turn deviations, delays, unsafe events, and service needs into an explicit action with an owner and record.

Exception routing, alert escalation, and resolution tracking workflow.

STAGE 04Direction & R&D

Improve

Use operating history to understand repeated route, vehicle, and workflow problems—not just where a vehicle was.

Corridor intelligence, delay trend aggregation, and preventive maintenance scheduling.

Fleet OperationsIn pilot

Vehicles, drivers, trips, documents, and operational state belong in one working picture.

Move past scattered status checks. Loketi provides dispatchers and fleet managers with an integrated roster of vehicle readiness, assigned drivers, active trip milestones, and overdue service actions.

  • Unified roster of commercial vehicles, plate numbers, and assigned personnel
  • Explicit status transitions: Available, On Route, Service Due, Incident, Offline
  • Trip record keeping linked directly to driver identity and field hardware
  • Clear role-based access for dispatchers, operations managers, and finance teams

Scope: Evaluated with pilot transport fleets in Tanzania running commercial haulage routes.

Route IntelligenceIn pilot

A route is more than a line between two places.

East African corridors feature border bottlenecks, weighbridges, unpaved stretches, and unexpected diversions. Loketi learns from repeated trip events to detect deviations and delays before they compound into missed customer deadlines.

  • Corridor waypoint monitoring with timestamped arrivals and departures
  • Unplanned stop and route deviation detection with configurable thresholds
  • Historical turnaround analysis across major loading yards and borders
  • Signal loss identification that clearly marks stale data rather than hiding it

Scope: Focused on major Tanzanian and regional transit corridors (Dar es Salaam – Dodoma, Morogoro, Mbeya, Tunduma).

Tracking HardwareIn pilot

Hardware is part of the operation, not an afterthought.

Software is only as dependable as the signal it receives. Loketi works with proven GPS and telematics units, rigorously verifying harness wiring, power stability, battery health, and protocol compatibility.

  • Evaluation of existing customer GPS hardware prior to recommending replacements
  • Verified installation standards for commercial trucks, vans, and passenger fleets
  • Continuous device health monitoring: internal battery level, GPS fix quality, and cellular signal
  • Offline data caching during weak cellular coverage with automated sync on reconnection

Scope: Supports standard 2G/4G telematics units, OBD/CAN interfaces, and analog fuel sensor integration.

AI-Assisted OperationsDirection & R&D

Practical assistance where it removes repetitive manual work.

Rather than adding decorative AI badges, Loketi focuses on high-friction operational tasks: parsing paper waybills and fuel receipts from field photos, answering natural-language fleet queries, and routing urgent exception digests into WhatsApp.

  • Trip document extraction: converting photo waybills and delivery notes into digital trip records
  • Structured exception summaries delivered directly to operational decision-makers
  • Natural-language query interface for rapid fleet telemetry lookups
  • Zero unsupported automation: critical actions always require verified operator confirmation

Scope: Directional capability; experimental pilots require human-in-the-loop review of all extracted documents.

RESEARCH & EXPERIMENTATIONDirection & R&D

INPUT: Waybill / POD Photo

→ Extracting: Container ID, Consignee, Weight, Origin

OUTPUT: Verified Trip Record

→ Human-in-the-loop validation required before ledger entry

Loketi does not deploy unverified autonomous decisions. Critical fleet transitions always require explicit operator confirmation.

WHO IT IS FOR

Built for teams that move work across the road.

PRIMARY TARGET AUDIENCE

Transport and logistics companies

Commercial freight operators, long-haul hauliers, and regional carriers in Tanzania managing 10 to 150+ commercial vehicles. If your team coordinates trips across WhatsApp, checks multiple tracker screens, and builds month-end reports by hand, Loketi provides the operational clarity you need.

START WITH YOUR OPERATION

No generic demo. Start with your fleet.

We begin with the vehicles, routes, hardware, and recurring problems you already have. Then we define the smallest pilot that can prove whether Loketi improves control.

  1. STEP 01
    Assess the current operation
We review fleet size, vehicle makes, operational routes, installed trackers, and your most expensive recurring bottleneck.
  2. STEP 02
    Map vehicles, routes & hardware
Determine hardware compatibility, verify wiring harness integrity, and map decision owners for dispatch and maintenance.
  3. STEP 03
    Define a bounded pilot
Select 3 to 10 vehicles on a specific operating corridor with agreed operational success measures and timelines.
  4. STEP 04
    Install, connect & verify
Field verification of GPS/sensor reporting, telemetry freshness, and dispatcher interface access.
  5. STEP 05
    Review operating evidence
Evaluate measured outcomes in turnaround time, exception visibility, and coordination effort before expanding.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Frequently answered questions.

Clear answers on current platform scope, compatibility, and pilot evaluation.

Is Loketi a GPS tracking company?

GPS tracking is one input. Loketi is being built as an operations system that connects vehicle data with trips, routes, alerts, and the people responsible for action.

Can Loketi work with hardware we already have?

Compatibility depends on the device, protocol, and data access. Share the device model and current provider during the fleet assessment; we will confirm what can be reused before proposing replacement hardware.

Is the platform available now?

Loketi is under active development. We are defining bounded pilots with selected transport teams and will state clearly which workflows are available in each pilot.

What happens during a fleet assessment?

We review fleet size, vehicle types, routes, current tracking and dispatch tools, the most expensive recurring problem, and the smallest pilot that can be measured.
